It's Been 4 Months Reported To The Police, But Child Predators In East Jakarta Have Not Been Arrested

The East Jakarta Metro Police have not arrested the stepfather of the perpetrator of sexual abuse of a victim with the initials B, a junior high school student.

Even though the molestation case has been reported by the victim's parents, initials AA, to the East Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters with the number LP B/1285/V/2023/SPKT/RES.JAKTIM/PMJ. dated May 16, 2023.

This was also regretted by the reporter and his attorney. According to Muhammad Ari as the lawyer for victim B, the reason the police have not arrested the perpetrator with the initials GN (40) is because it is still in the process of being investigated.

"The reason is always still under investigation. Even though the child has told what he is and has been in the BAP. Visum has also been. In my opinion, 4 months (the process) has been too long," said Muhammad Ari, the victim's attorney, when confirmed by VOI, Monday, September 4.

In fact, according to Ari, the perpetrator carried out his depraved act during the month of Ramadan.

"Moreover, the perpetrator carried out this depraved act when the child was fasting Ramadan. That's what made me furious too," he said.

The sexual abuse case was only revealed after the victim's child in Ramadan called his father asking for help to be picked up while crying and no longer wanting to live with his biological mother and stepfather.

Then his father picked him up, when he got home, the victim told her biological mother that she was molested by her stepfather while fasting. Then her biological mother was shocked.

"Then the child told me that the obscenity was carried out from elementary school. Then his biological mother told her story with his biological father, was angry and asked me to provide assistance. We made an LP to the East Jakarta Metro Police," he explained.

Meanwhile, the victim is currently 15 years old. The act of obscenity was carried out by the perpetrators since the victim was 12 years old.

"The perpetrator has committed his depraved acts several times since the child was 12 years old. The number of victims' children is no longer remembered," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a girl with the initials B (15) had been a victim of sexual abuse by her own stepfather with the initials GN (40) for years. The sexual abuse case was only revealed after the victim initial B reported the incident that happened to her biological father, AA (45).
