SEMARANG - The police identified the identities of five victims who died in a truck accident that occurred on Jalan Lohgending-Kalipoh, Ayah Village, Kebumen Regency, Central Java, which occurred on Wednesday (30/8) night.

Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Satake Bayu Setianto, said two victims died at the scene, while three others died in hospital.

"19 people are still being treated in hospital due to injuries," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, August 31.

The five victims who died in the incident were Laniyem (40), Marsinah (52), Wasilah (50), Sukarti (60), and Satinem (60) who were all residents of Argosari Village, Dad District, Kebumen Regency.

The accident, he said, is currently being handled by the Kebumen Police Traffic Unit.

An open tub truck numbered AA 1604 HM had an accident while crossing Jalan Lohgending-Kalipoh, Ayah Village, Kebumen Regency, on Wednesday (30/8) night.

The truck carrying 44 passengers walked back and forth into the residents' yard due to not being strong on the road with the uphill contour.

The 44 passengers who were transported were residents of Argosari Village who had just returned home after visiting a patient at the Gombong Hospital.
