Husband Of Domestic Violence Perpetrator Kills Wife Charged With Layered Articles

JAKARTA - The police arrested YB, the husband who killed his wife AA (22), with multiple articles.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Polrestabes AKBP Donny Lumbantpruan said, YB, the perpetrator of domestic violence (KDRT) was not only charged with Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning the elimination of domestic violence.

He added that the perpetrator was also suspected of Article 338 of the Criminal Code regarding murder and or Article 351 of the Criminal Code regarding persecution that killed someone.

The murder of AA took place at his home in Sendangguwo, Tembalang, Semarang City, in the early hours of Monday, August 28. The perpetrators became angry and suspected that his wife was having an affair.

"The perpetrator then abused the victim using a stick of wood," he said in Semarang City, Tuesday, August 31, which was confiscated by Antara.

In addition, the perpetrator who works as a Keris repairman also stabbed the victim in the chest with a knife.

The victim died with bruises on several parts of the body and stab wounds to the chest.

The perpetrator was arrested by Tembalang Police officers moments after the incident while trying to escape.
