12-year-old Boy Dies Drowning While Playing In Jagakarsa Brigif Reservoir

JAKARTA - A boy named Raffi Annas (12) was found dead, after drowning in the Brigif Reservoir, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.

Jagakarsa Police Chief, AKP Iwan Gunawan confirmed the incident. The incident occurred on Tuesday, August 29.

The incident began when koban was playing with his friends on the edge of the Brigif Reservoir. They were pushing and pushing until Raffi finally fell and drowned.

"Playing pushed around on the edge of the reservoir so that the victim fell (falling) into the reservoir, to the middle of the reservoir and could not swim," said Gunawan, Wednesday, August 30.

Meanwhile, the Head of the South Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Syamsul Huda, explained that the victim drowned at 17.00 WIB, then was found at 19.48 WIB.

"The victim was found dead and immediately taken to Fatmawati Hospital," he concluded.
