The stolen money was used by the perpetrator to buy a motorbike. According to him, this criminal incident began with a witness named Ilda Narang who was a civil servant at the Ambon City DPRD Office who saw damage to one of the secretary's rooms on Monday, August 28. Furthermore, the employee immediately met the Head of the General Division of the City DPRD and other colleagues to see the damage. One of the other employees on behalf of Jan Tuhumuri (57) who was notified of this incident immediately reported the incident to the police. "From the explanation of the reporter, initially when Ilda Narang's employee saw that one of the council's secretaries was damaged, then the employee immediately met the Head of General Affairs and other colleagues to see the damage," explained Janete. After being examined, it turned out that the Rp117 million in the store was no longer there, then the surveillance camera (CCTV) receiver had been damaged. Kasat Reskrim Ambon Police AKP La Bel together with Buru Sergap (Buser) members who went to the scene of the case conducted an investigation and finally succeeded in uncovering the perpetrators of the theft. "The Buser Team under the leadership of Kanit VI Satreskrim Iptu Idham Hanifar conducted an investigation and directed several people from the Satpol PP and civil servants of the Ambon City DPRD office who at the time of the theft were in the office area," said Janete. Setelah dilakukan interogasi secara bertahap, salah satu terduga pelaku ASL mengakui kepada personel Buser kalau dirinya yang melakukan pencurian. The Buser team together with the alleged perpetrator then headed to one of the Pondok in Ruko Batu Merah, Sirimau District (Ambon City) to secure evidence.

It is known that ASN was secured along with evidence of the remaining stolen money amounting to Rp. 72.5 million along with a black Mio 125 Im3 motorcycle purchased with stolen money for Rp. 17.5 million. Currently ASL has been named a suspect.
