Woman In Semarang Found Dead With Bruises, Allegedly Victim Of Domestic Violence

Semarang - Semarang Police are investigating the death of a woman from Sendangguwo, Semarang City, Central Java, who is suspected of being a victim of domestic violence (KDRT).

Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar said that the report entered the Semarang Police Headquarters command center at around 04.00 WIB regarding an unconscious woman suspected of being a victim of domestic violence.

The victim with the initials AA (22) was found dead by two witnesses who are still relatives

"Two witnesses heard a commotion from inside the victim's room, but did not dare to reprimand him," said Irwan, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 28.

From the statements of the witnesses, he said, the victim was suspected of having a fuss with her husband

Knowing that the victim was unconscious, the two witnesses then reported to the police.

When they arrived at the location, the police had not found the whereabouts of the victim's husband with the initials YB.

The officers then evacuated the victim's body to the hospital for an autopsy before finally conducting a crime scene investigation.

Meanwhile, Tembalang Police Chief Kompol Wahdah Maulidiawati said that at the initial examination there were bruises on several parts of the victim's body.

However, Wahdah could not confirm the cause of death of the victim.
