Fadli Zon Waits For Budiman's Decision To Join Gerindra Or Other Parties

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Fadli Zon, welcomed that Budiman Sudjatmiko had the desire to join after being fired by the PDI-P in the aftermath of supporting Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate.

However, Fadli is still waiting for Budiman's decision on whether he still wants to party or not. Including the matter of joining Gerindra or other political parties.

"I think I have a plan. In the future, we'll just have to wait for the decision, whether it's not a party first, whether later we want to join one of the parties, or join Gerindra," said Fadli at the DPR building, Friday, August 25.

"For Gerindra, it must bewelcome, but we don't want it to be like that. So we depend on the person concerned," he continued.

So far, Fadli admitted, there has been no communication between Gerindra and Budiman after the dismissal by PDIP. Currently, he said, Gerindra is focusing on Prabowo's candidacy.

"I don't think what to discuss such things. The concentration is how to win Pak Prabowo," said Fadli.

Regarding Budiman's political stance that supported Prabowo until the end of his dismissal, according to Fadli, this was normal in political parties. Because, he said, every political party has its own rules and mechanisms.

"I think it's an option, a choice that must be taken in certain situations and know also what the consequences are. I think it's a normal thing and already a calculus risk, a risk that has been calculated in politics and in my opinion it's mediocre. It means that political parties are a place to express themselves, to fight and so on. Of course, they have their own rules, "said Fadli.
