JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) to prevent three people from leaving the country. This prevention is related to the corruption case of the Indonesian labor protection system (TKI) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker).

"It will be carried out for the next six months until February 2024", said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Thursday, August 24.

Ali did not specify who was prevented from leaving the country. He only said investigators could extend the effort as needed.

"The second extension can be carried out according to the needs of the investigative team," he said.

Furthermore, these prevented parties will be summoned for questioning regarding the corruption case at the Ministry of Manpower. They are expected to be cooperative because the information is needed.
