WFH ASN Still Monitored By Video Calls, Wearing Uniforms And Normal Working Hours

JAKARTA - As many as 50 percent of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) of the Central Jakarta City Government (Pemkot) has started implementing work from home (WFH).

However, to ensure the discipline of each employee, the Central Jakarta City Government monitors its workers using video calls.

"We have Government Regulation Number 94 of 2021 concerning employee discipline. Even though they are WFH, they still wear uniforms," said Central Jakarta Mayor Dhany Sukma to reporters, Wednesday, August 23.

Meanwhile, based on the DKI Jakarta Provincial Secretary Circular (SE) Number 34 of 2023 concerning the Implementation of Official Tasks from Home or Work From Home, WFH implementation is given with a maximum limit of 50 percent.

Especially at the ASEAN Summit, September 5-7, 2023, WFH will be carried out a maximum of 75 percent and in the office of 25 percent. The limit is calculated based on the number of all ASN employees in each unit, sub-field, sub-section, section, or sub-group within the regional apparatus or bureau.

The ASN that carries out WFH must work during working hours, starting from 07.30 to 16.00 WIB. After two months of implementation, the Jakarta Provincial Government will conduct an evaluation to consider further policies.

Meanwhile, the WFH policy for private employees is an appeal. This means that the company can implement the policy according to their respective decisions.

Meanwhile, ASN Central Jakarta City Government who are active in working at home continues to be monitored via video call.

"So no longer only cellular, but video calls. It is mandatory to open (the camera) so we will monitor it," said Dhany Sukma.
