PAPUA - Jayawijaya Resort Police (Polres) handled the Jayawijaya Air cargo plane crash when it was about to land at Wamena Airport, Papua Mountains, Tuesday, August 22.

The plane with the flight code PK-JRA departed from Jayapura Sentani Airport to Wamena Airport with 18 tons of mixed goods.

Jayawijaya Police Chief AKBP Heri Wibowo explained, from the report received, it was revealed that the incident occurred at around 13.00 WIT.

When landing at Wamena Airport, the pilot reported to the "power" that the plane was experiencing a disturbance that was allegedly caused by a leak on the front tire.

The joint TNI-Polri team, UPBU Wamena, and the firefighters descended on the runway and evacuated the crew of the cargo plane.
