JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) visit to Tanzania, East Africa, resulted in cooperation agreements in trade, energy, health security, and agriculture.

During a meeting of two Heads of State at the Dar Es senjata State House, a number of bilateral cooperation and the signing of a number of memorandums of understanding were discussed.

Jokowi also conveyed that Indonesia's commitment was to be part of the development of health resilience in Tanzania, by presenting export products for the Indonesian pharmaceutical industry.

"Indonesia is committed to being part of building Tanzania's health resilience, in the form of an Indonesian pharmaceutical company that will export its first product in Tanzania as a form of contribution to meeting the needs of pharmaceutical products in Tanzania," he said.

President Jokowi conveyed his commitment to realizing concrete collaboration, one of which was through the plan to revitalize agricultural and regular training centers in Morogoro, Tanzania.

"Indonesia is finalizing the design design for the next five years for Africa," he added.

In his speech, Jokowi said that Tanzania has historical roots that have strengthened relations between Indonesia and African countries since the 1955 Asia Africa conference and the 1951 Non-Aligned Movement.

"We must strengthen the Bandung Spirit for solidarity and collaboration between countries in the global soup, it must continue to be strengthened," he said.
