The President Continues Work Visit in Africa to Tanzania

President Jokowi accompanied by the President of the Republic of Kenya William Ruto participated in the release ceremony with the accompaniment of the national anthem of each country which was held in the courtyard of State Pavilion/ANTARA/HO-Biro Press of the Presidential Secretariat

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) departed for the United Republic of Tanzania via Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

As reported by ANTARA from a written statement by the Press, Media and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, Tanzania is the second destination country visited by Jokowi during his trip to Africa.

Previously, Jokowi and his entourage arrived in Kenya to meet with President William Ruto at the State House, Nairobi to discuss increasing trade between the two countries and producing concrete cooperation in the economic field.

During the meeting, Jokowi encouraged partnerships between developing countries to continue to be strengthened to become stronger.

"In the current condition of global uncertainty, it is time for us to strengthen the 'Bandung Spirit' between 'The Global South' countries," said President Jokowi, Monday, August 21.

President Jokowi accompanied by the President of the Republic of Kenya William Ruto took part in the release ceremony accompanied by the national anthems of each country which was held at the courtyard of the State Pavillion, Kenyatta Nairobi International Airport.

Also sending off President Jokowi's departure were the President of the Republic of Kenya William Ruto, Head of State Protocol for the Republic of Kenya Betty Chewron, Minister of Mines, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs Salim Mvurya as Escort of Honor, and Wife of the Indonesian Ambassador to the Republic of Kenya Zulfah Nahdliyati Saripudin.
