JAKARTA - The electability or electability rate of the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, is ranked highest as a potential presidential candidate (Capres) for the 2024 Presidential Election.

These results were captured in the latest Kompas R&D survey which was conducted in late July to early August 2023.

In the simulation of the three names of presidential candidates, Ganjar, who is the candidate for the PDIP presidential candidate, was able to outperform General Chairperson Gerindra Prabowo Subianto, and presidential candidate of the Coalition for Change, Anies Baswedan.

Ganjar obtained an electability of 34.1 percent. Meanwhile, Prabowo Subianto obtained an electability of 31.3 percent.

"However, it is impossible to say that the votes for Ganjar and Prabowo are significantly different, aka they are still fiercely competitive," wrote Kompas Research and Development.

Meanwhile, Anies Baswedan is far behind with an electability of 19.2 percent. There are still 15.4 percent of respondents who choose not to answer or keep it secret.

This survey was conducted face-to-face on July 27-August 7 2023, involving 1,364 respondents in 38 provinces spread over 331 villages/regencies in Indonesia with a margin of error applied in this survey of ±2.65 percent.
