One Family Of Missing Ship Passengers Sinking In The Thousand Islands Still In Search Of The Joint SAR Team

The joint SAR team is still searching for one family of a passenger on the missing KM Dewi Noor ship that sank in the waters of Untung Jawa Island and Pari Island, Thousand Islands, North Jakarta.

"Still in search of a father and two children. They are ship passengers," said Public Relations of the Jakarta SAR Office, Ramli Prasetyo when confirmed by VOI, Sunday, August 20.

As is known, the KM Dwi Noor ship carrying the victim and other passengers had an accident while traveling from Mutiara Beach to Sepa Island, Thousand Islands, North Jakarta on Saturday, August 19.

Before the accident occurred, the ship contained 15 passengers. As many as 10 passengers managed to survive and were evacuated by the joint SAR team using patrol boats belonging to Pol Air and TB Mitra Jaya 21 which happened to pass around the scene.

Head of the Jakarta SAR Office as well as SMC (SAR Mission Coordinator), Fazzli said, data on 10 victims of the ship passengers who were rescued were Wahyu (39), Wahyudi (40), Darto Bin Amadisa (43), Parman (49), Jaka Nugraha (38), Satori (39), Rianto (17), Tajudin (45), Zaenal (47) and Suryana (72).

"The injured victim named Jayadi (35) and the dead victim named Aan (47). The body of the deceased was taken to the Police Hospital, Kramat Jati," said Fazzli.

Currently, his party is still looking for three other missing ship passengers. The three victims who have not been found are Rebek, Nedin and one other person whose identity has not been identified.

"The joint SAR element in SAR operations is the Jakarta SAR Office, Polda Metro Jaya, Ditpolair Korpolairud Baharkam, and TB Mitra Jaya 21. Our personnel from the Jakarta SAR Office join elements who are already at the location to conduct searches," he said.
