Polda Metro Bongkar Penyebaran Konten 'Video Gay Kids Indonesia'

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has uncovered cases of disseminating pornographic content of the same sex and exploitation of children through the Telegram account 'Video Gay Kids Indonesia'. Two people were named suspects, one of whom was a minor.

"The two perpetrators have been arrested," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, Friday, August 18.

The two suspects are R (21) and LNH (16). However, no child suspects were detained.

The disclosure of this case began when members of the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate carried out cyber patrols and found that there was an act of spreading pornographic content.

This was followed up by deepening until it finally led to the two suspects. They were immediately arrested.

From the results of the examination, LNH plays a role in promoting pornographic content through a Facebook account. Then, if anyone is interested, he will also serve purchase transactions by directing them into the Telegram group channel.

Meanwhile, suspect R carried out his modus operandi by promoting same-sex photo and video content through his telegram in accordance with the agreement with the buyer.

"That's where a number of photos and subscription videos have been transmitted that have been agreed upon between the two parties," he said.

From the results of the examination, it was also known that 10 Telegram accounts were used to promote same-sex pornographic content and child exploitation.

"There are 6 Telegram channels used by the two suspects in carrying out their actions (spreading content)," said Ade Safri.

The suspect was charged with Article 27 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 45 of the UITE with a penalty of 6 years and/or a maximum fine of Rp. 1 billion, and/or Article 4 of Law Number 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography and Article 29 of Law Number 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography.

Then, Article 76i in conjunction with Article 88 of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning the Child Protection Law.

This article regulates the prohibition of economic and/or sexual exploitation of children with a penalty of 10 years in prison or a maximum fine of IDR 200 million.
