PKS Please Name The Vice Presidential Candidate Has Been Decided During The Big Consolidation August 18

JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) hopes that the name of the vice presidential candidate (cawapres) accompanying Anies Baswedan can be decided soon, following the news that the Coalition for Change for Unity (KPP) will conduct a major consolidation on August 18. PKS Secretary General Aboe Bakar Alhabsyi said that preparations for choosing to readwapres for Anies were always the main topic of every meeting scheduled. Therefore, he hopes that the name of the candidate will be final soon.

"We are not only on the 18th, every date we discuss. Incidentally, 18 ceremonies end, we want the name of our vice presidential candidate to be announced quickly," said Aboe at the PKS DPP Office, South Jakarta, Thursday, August 17. If necessary, he continued, other presidential candidates (candidates) can also announce their partners for the 2024 presidential election. "If we can announce it, we will announce it. For example, Ganjar Umumin, please, our brother Bang Bowo, then Anies will also be together tomorrow Alhamdulillah, we'll just have to wait," said Aboe.

Even so, Aboe assessed that the coalition did not need to rush in announcing the reading of Vice President Anies Baswedan so that political dynamics would be more exciting.

"The day is getting, 6 months are getting like this, the more it is, the more fun it is, the more hot it is, this is politics, don't rush back," said aboe.

Previously, the chairman of the NasDem Party DPP Willy Aditya, said that there would be a major consolidation of the Change Coalition for Unity (KPP) after returning from Pacitan, East Java. "We will have a meeting on 18 (August), just a meeting. Why? There is also an event in Pacitan. Maybe after Pacitan we will consolidate bigger," said Willy at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 16.

Although he did not clearly mention the matter of vice president's reading, Willy said, there would be a surprise as a decision on the August 18 meeting.

"There is an important decision," he said.
