NasDem Said There Will Be An Important Decision After The Pacitan Agenda, Declaration Of Vice President Anies?

JAKARTA - The NasDem Party responded to the news of the declaration of a candidate for vice president (cawapres) accompanying Anies Baswedan in the 2024 presidential election on August 18. The chairman of the NasDem Party DPP Willy Aditya has not been able to confirm it because the team at the Change Coalition for Unity (KPP) will only meet after the Chairman of the Democrats, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) returns from Pacitan, East Java. "Not yet (the vice presidential declaration), but we will have a meeting on the 18th (August), just a meeting. Why? There is also an event in Pacitan. Maybe after Pacitan we will consolidate bigger," said Willy at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 16. Although he did not clearly mention the matter of vice president, Willy said, there would be a surprise as a decision on the August 18 meeting. "There is an important decision," he said. Regarding PAN and Golkar joining the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition, Willy emphasized that KPP was not affected to further intensify its presidential candidates. Instead, he said, NasDem, PKS and Democrats appreciated the support of the two political parties to Prabowo Subianto. It's just that, said Willy, it should be noted that a major coalition does not necessarily win. "No, we appreciate it. After all, Pak Jokowi left in 2014 with a minimalist coalition, Mr. SBY also departed with a minimalist coalition. Of course it is an important note for us that the big coalition is not a guarantee. Sometimes people who are obese have many illnesses," he concluded. It is known that the former 6th President and Chairman of the Democratic Party High Council, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), as well as the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) were not present at the annual MPR/DPR/DPD session because they were in Pacitan, East Java.

Spokesperson for the DPP Democrat Party, Herzaky Mahendra Putra, revealed that currently SBY is in Pacitan, East Java, to prepare for the opening of the SBY ANI Museum and Gallery which is scheduled to take place on Thursday, August 17.
