JAKARTA - The public prosecutor (JPU) charged the defendants Mario Dandy Satriyo, Shane Lukas, and AG's son, to pay restitution or compensation for David Ozora in the amount of Rp120 billion.
The lawsuit was read out during the follow-up trial of the alleged abuse case against David Ozora at the South Jakarta District Court, Tuesday, August 15.
"To charge the defendant Mario Dandy Satriyo alias Dandy, the witness shane lukas, and the daughter of witness AG each in a separate case file, together in a balanced manner by adjusting the role and level of the error resulting in losses to pay restitution to the victim's child David Ozora amounting to Rp120,388,911,030 (120 billion)," said the prosecutor.
In the prosecutor's demands, if the defendant does not have the opportunity to pay restitution, then it will be replaced with criminal sanctions.
"If the defendant cannot pay, he will be replaced with a prison sentence of 7 years," said the prosecutor.
Previously, Mario Dandy Satriyo was charged with imprisonment for 12 years. Because Mario is considered legally proven and convincingly guilty in the case of alleged severe assault against David Ozora.
In deciding the charges against Mario Dandy Satriyo, the prosecutor had five burdensome considerations. For example, the act of persecution was considered very sadistic and brutal.
Then, other considerations, Mario Dandy's abuse caused David Ozora to suffer brain damage to amnesia.
"The defendant's actions have damaged the future of the victim's son David Ozora. The defendant tried to reverse the facts by assembling fake stories during the investigation process," said the prosecutor.
