Respect PAN-Golkar Usung Prabowo, Ganjar Remembers The 2014 Presidential Election Against Jokowi Gets A Lot Of Support From Political Parties

JAKARTA - The presidential candidate (candidate) from the PDI-P (PDIP), Ganjar Pranowo, respects the political decisions of Golkar and PAN who are close to Gerindra and PKB to support Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

"I really respect the attitude of each party, surely he has made a decision and already has a record of where to move. So I have great respect for the decisions taken by any party they have taken and wherever they go," said Ganjar in Semarang, Central Java, Sunday, August 13, as quoted by Antara.

The governor of Central Java for two terms said that the coalition of 4 political parties was a common thing in the democratic process.

According to him, the closeness of the Golkar Party and PAN to Prabowo Subianto's camp is a common thing because currently all political parties are negotiating to determine their respective political directions.

Ganjar also continues to communicate with other political parties, both those who have supported and those who have not supported.

"So if there is a party closer to one point, in my opinion it is their political right," he said.

Asked about the large number of political parties that have joined the Prabowo Subianto camp, Ganjar responded casually and said that the joining of several political parties against PDIP had already occurred in the 2014 presidential election.

"And this story happened in 2014 if I'm not mistaken. At that time, Jokowi's opponents were the same, they flocked there. And we recorded this incident on the way and there were always changing dynamics," he said.

Ganjar actually congratulated Golkar and PAN on their decision to join the Gerindra Party and PKB coalitions. He invited all parties to keep democracy running well.

"Of course the most important thing is how to keep democracy going well, and what we have to solve from the problems of this nation and state," he said.

Golkar, PAN, and PKB in a coalition with Gerindra declared Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate in the 2024 General Election.
