Bogor Police investigated complaints from parents from Ciseeng, Bogor Regency, West Java, Siti Mauliah (37) whose baby was swapped at Sentosa Hospital, Kemang, during childbirth last year.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bogor Police, AKP Yohanes Redhoi Sigiro, explained that after hearing information from Siti Mauliah and her attorney, Bogor Police investigators would examine a number of parties suspected of being in the circle of this case.

"We will clarify. Starting from the hospital and the parties whose babies are swapped. This will continue to grow. We will see what the facts are," said the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, who is familiarly called Giro, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 11.

Siti's family before filing a complaint with the Women and Children Service Unit (PPA) of the Bogor Police, had tried to resolve this case, to Sentosa Hospital and to look for the whereabouts of patient B, whose child was suspected of being swapped.

"However, we have not received the results as expected. This mother's complaint will be our basis for deepening and investigating," said Giro.

Meanwhile, Siti Mauliah's attorney, Rusdy Ridho, hopes that by filing a complaint with the Bogor Police, the problems that befell Siti can be resolved soon.

"Our new attorney 'entered' June, asked the hospital for a DNA test. From the start we have sought information ourselves. Meanwhile, it is suspected that one party (patient B). But the police are authorized to investigate," he said.

Initially, Siti Mauliah gave birth with surgery at Sentosa Hospital, Kemang District, Bogor Regency on July 18, 2022. At that time, Siti was still breastfeeding the baby she was giving birth to.

However, said Rusdy, when Siti breastfeeded on the second day after giving birth, her client felt there was some difference with the baby being born, especially in the hair that looked heavier.

Then, when she was about to return from the hospital, the nurse who was serving asked Siti about the marker bracelet worn by the baby. However, at that time the nurse mentioned that only the bracelet was swapped.

"It was confirmed that the reason the hospital was only exchanging bracelets. Until it dragged on for this year," said Rusdy.

About two months ago his party had held an audience with the hospital and its directors. Then the hospital gave an answer to check DNA in Jakarta.

"After 10 days later and two families were collected, and the DNA test results showed that the samples A and B were negative or not biological from patient A (Siti)," said.

Rusdy as a lawyer, tried to hold the hospital accountable to find Siti's real child.

"The suspect from the hospital who was swapped against the bracelet was in patient B, but patient B did not want to do a DNA test, in the end we as a power to take legal steps made a complaint to the PPA unit of the Bogor Police," he said.
