PALANGKA RAYA - Former Regent of Kapuas, Ben Brahim S Bahat and his wife who is also a former member of the DPR, Ary Egahni will soon be tried at the Palangka Raya Corruption Court.Ben Brahim S Bahat and Ary Egahni will be tried in connection with the alleged receipt of gratuities and alleged receipts of fees from various agencies or regional apparatus organizations (OPD) at the Kapuas Regency Government. Case files of this husband and wife have been registered in the information system of the Palangka Raya Corruption Court number 17/Pid.Sus-TPK/2023/PN Plk.The General Prosecutor (JPU) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Zaenurofiq when met by the media crew said the case files consisted of two defendants with one single indictment. "For the suspect Ben Brahim will later be transferred to the Palangka Raya Detention Center, while Ary Egahni is transferred to the Palangka Raya Women's Prison", he explained. Meanwhile, the Public Relations of the Palangkaraya District Court, Hotma EP Sipahutar confirmed that the Ben Brahim S Bahat and Ary Egahni case files have been registered in the information system of the Palangka Raya Corruption Court. The case was registered by the KPK prosecutor.

"For this case, the plan is to start the trial on August 16, 2023, the trial mechanism is the same as other trials," he said. The panel of judges at the Palangka Raya Corruption Court who chaired the trial of this case later consisted of Agung Sulistiyono as chairman of the panel of judges, while Erhammudin and Darjono Abadi were appointed as member judges.
