Bank Owned By DKI Provincial Government Distributes Loans Of Up To IDR 50.11 Trillion In The Second Quarter Of 2023

Regional development banks (BPD) belonging to the DKI Provincial Government, Bank DKI recorded lending and financing of IDR 50.11 trillion in the second quarter of 2023. "As of June 2023, Bank DKI recorded credit and financing performance growth of 14.82 percent to Rp50.11 trillion, from Rp43.64 trillion in the same period in the previous year," said Acting President Director of Bank DKI Amirul Wicaksono in his statement, Tuesday, August 8. It was noted that this positive performance was driven by growth in lending year on year (yoy) in all segments, focusing on the field of MSMEs. Amirul explained that significant growth occurred in retail loans which grew by 74.46 percent to Rp1.43 trillion in June 2023, from the position of Rp821.54 billion in June 2022. "Micro credit also shows impressive performance with growth of 52.50 percent to Rp2.98 trillion in June 2023, from the position of Rp1.95 trillion in June 2022," he said. Then, consumer credit also recorded positive growth of 14.23 percent to Rp20.94 trillion in June 2023, from the position of Rp18.33 trillion in June 2022. Meanwhile, on a larger scale of credit, such as medium credit grew 16.18 percent to IDR 1.68 trillion in June 2023, from IDR 1.45 trillion in June 2022. The commercial credit segment grew 2.03 percent to IDR 16.45 trillion in June 2023, from IDR 16.13 trillion in June 2022. Furthermore, syndicated credit also recorded significant growth, which grew 33.48 percent to Rp6.62 trillion in June 2023, from the position of Rp4.96 trillion in June 2022. The distribution of financing for the sharia segment also grew 10.19 percent to Rp7.82 trillion in June 2023, from the previous Rp7.09 trillion in June 2022. "Along with the increase in lending and financing, it also boosted Bank DKI's assets by 12.08 percent to Rp82.00 trillion in June 2023, from the position of Rp73.17 trillion in June 2022," he explained. For information, Bank DKI posted a net profit of IDR 477.88 billion, growing 4.72 percent compared to Profit from Quarter I (Q1) 2023 of IDR 233.20 billion, while net profit in the period of June 2022 was recorded at IDR 504.89 billion.
