High Interest, Bocimi Toll Road Entrance Vehicles For Two Weeks Free Session II

SUKABUMI - The operational schedule for the Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi (Bocimi) Session II to the Cigombong-Parungkuda Toll Road has been accelerated from Monday 7 August to Sunday 6 August and for two free weeks.

"Due to the high interest of toll road users, we took a policy to operate earlier, namely on Sunday at around 14.00 WIB," said PT Waskita Karya Aswin Januar's Site Quality Safety Health Environment Manager, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, August 7.

According to Aswin, the acceleration of the operation of the Cigombong Parungkuda Toll Road section due to the post-resmidication of the toll road by President Jokowi on Friday, vehicles coming from the direction of Jabodetabek to Sukabumi increased, which is suspected to be in addition to traveling. Thus, for the next two weeks, all vehicles entering the Bocimi Session II Cigombong-Parungkuda Toll Road are free, except for vehicles using the toll road session I which is subject to a tariff of Rp. 14 thousand. The operation of this route is expected to break down the density of vehicles on the main Bogor-Sukabumi route, especially since Saturday the volume of vehicles coming out and entering Sukabumi has increased. From observations at the location, on Saturday there was a long traffic jam on the main route of Bogor-Sukabumi, precisely from Cicurug to Cibadak District, Sukabumi Regency. Meanwhile, the driver of the car from Tangerang, Banten A Handoko said he departed from Tangerang to go to Sukabumi City at around 08.00 WIB on Saturday and until Sukabumi City at around 15.00 WIB or for seven hours. Initially, he thought the Bocimi Session II Toll Road section had been opened, but only got information to be opened on Monday.

"Since leaving the Cicurug toll gate, the traffic flow has been congested, from Cicurug to Parungkuda, the travel time is up to two hours and from Parungkuda to Cibadak it has reached more than an hour," he said.
