Before The Campaign Period Begins, Bawaslu Allows Putting Up The Flags Of The Party Urut Number

SUKABUMI- Prior to the campaign period starting on November 28, 2023, the Indonesian Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) allowed every political party to put up its flag and party serial number.

It is known that the provisions in KPU Regulation Number 3 of 2022 concerning the Stages and Schedule for the 2024 Election, the 2024 election campaign period starts from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024.

However, before that, election participants were allowed to disseminate information to the public, without an invitation to choose them.

"Then, what can be done during the socialization period. First, the party flag with the party serial number is permissible because this is indeed the essence of the socialization period," said Indonesian Bawaslu Commissioner Lolly Suhenty on the sidelines of the 'Media Gathering Bawaslu 2023' event in Sukabumi, West Java, Friday., "he said, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, August 5.

Not only that, Bawaslu allowed political parties to hold limited internal meetings during the socialization period. However, the conditions must provide information to the KPU and Bawaslu one day before the implementation event. "That's why on the protocol road there is no problem. That's socialization, which may be a flag, party number, limited meetings by informing and there should be no calls and invitations," concluded Lolly.
