JAKARTA - A woman with the initials LA (29) is desperate to grow marijuana using hydroponic methods in Kedoya Baru Residence housing, Block D4, RT 14/04, North Kedoya, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta.

For her actions, the female employee who fills the SEO website was finally arrested by the West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Investigation Unit on Friday, August 4. From the results of the search, it was found that the hydroponic cannabis plant was planted in a wardrobe using makeshift ultraviolet lights on the 2nd floor of her house.

West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Head AKBP Akmal said his party confiscated evidence of three marijuana trees as high as one meter growing with ultraviolet light in lieu of sunlight.

"In the cupboard, it is equipped with lights and ultraviolet rays to replace the sun. So the equipment is quite simple but it is enough to make this cannabis plant grow up to approximately 1 meter," he told reporters, Friday, August 4.

AKBP Akmal explained that the suspect admitted to growing marijuana because he was just trying. In addition, the perpetrator is a woman who has been consuming marijuana for years. Because he regularly consumes, he also intends to plant marijuana in his house.

"The equipment used includes various liquid fertilizers. So this is a kind of mini lab, how is the person concerned doing the trial or experiment. From the beginning he only bought marijuana for consumption, then the LA suspect planted it," he said.

The suspect got marijuana seeds from his friend. His friend also got the cannabis seeds which were ordered through social media (medsos).

"The seeds were purchased online as one of his acquaintances. But his acquaintances through social media also never met him. Then they were sent dried marijuana leaves along with the seeds," he said.

From the results of the police investigation, the suspect planted it only for his own consumption. "Initially it was only a routine user, then interested in trying to plant it yourself," he said.

For his actions, the suspect LA is threatened with Article 114 paragraph (1) Subsidiary to Article 111 Paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics.
