Dragged By Ombak, 10-year-old Boy From Tanggamus Lampung Reported Missing

A 10-year-old boy, a resident of Pematang Sawa District, Tanggamus Regency, Lampung, drowned by the waves while swimming on the beach.

Functional implementation of disaster management of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Tanggamus Regency, Budiman confirmed that a 10-year-old child had disappeared at Muara Masin Beach.

"Yes, that's right, someone drowned on behalf of Mahesysyan Saputra Mad Deni, earlier at around 09.10 WIB, in Pekon (Village) Tanjungan, Pematang Sawah District," Budiman was quoted as saying by ANTARA, Sunday, July 30.

He also explained the chronology of the incident starting on Sunday morning, at around 09.10 WIB the victim was shocked and played in the beach area.

"The chronology at around 09.00 WIB the victim and his friends were busy looking at the estuary of Pekon Tanjungan, Pematang Sawah District, at 9.10 WIB suddenly the current came from the sea and the victim was attracted by the current into the middle of the sea," he said.
