Ahead Of The ASEAN Summit, The Sudirman-Thamrin Line Will Be Sterilized From PPKS

The Central Jakarta City Government has confirmed that the protocol route area on Jalan Sudirman - Thamrin will be sterile from a number of activities that violate public order ahead of the ASEAN 2023 Summit (KTT).

"We tidy it up. Like on Jalan Sudirman - Thamrin, it really has to be clear and clean. We have to be free from inappropriate activities, so we do restructuring. Including the reach of PPKS," said Central Jakarta Mayor Dhany Sukma in the HI Roundabout area, Menteng, Friday, July 28, evening.

Activities that should not exist in the protocol route are the Social Welfare Service Providers (PPKS) such as homeless people, buskers, ODGJ to beggar women who use underage children to earn fortune.

"Including PPKS, we are making PPKS reach, especially for mothers who employ children. This is the top priority," he said.

Dhany emphasized that his party prioritizes the humanitarian side for PPKS who are still neglected on the streets.

"If it's called humanity, we are there. It's more inhumane if we keep it (the existence of PPKS). Because they will grow to grow into adults, don't let them live on a very vulnerable road to health," he said.

Previously, it was reported that as many as 1600 officers from the Central Jakarta City Government had cleaned a number of public facilities such as sidewalks, Kanstin and a number of protocol roads located at 8 points in Central Jakarta on Friday, July 28, evening.
