JAKARTA - First Brigadier (Briptu) Tiara Nissa Zulbida may never have thought that her success in coming out as one of the best graduates in police education in Turkey, led her to be able to shake hands and talk with the country's leader, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
In a written statement, the Indonesian Embassy in Ankara said First Brigadier Tiara was one of the best graduates of the Turkish Police Academy, Ankara, some time ago.
The video went viral after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a chance to chat after shaking hands with First Brigadier Tiara, knowing she was from Indonesia, sending greetings to his best friend, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
The incident occurred during the graduation of the capacity building training "The First Level Police Chief Training and the Non-Thesis Master Degree", which took place at the Turkish National Police Academy, Ankara, Turkey on July 26.
"The message of brotherhood sent by President Erdogan to President Jokowi, shows the deep and rooted relations between the two nations. Indonesia has a special place in the hearts of Turkish leaders and people, just as the Turkish leaders and people also have a special place in the hearts of Indonesians," explained the Indonesian Ambassador to Turki Lalu Muhamad Iqbal when receiving First Brigadier Tiara and two of her colleagues who attended the same education at the Indonesian Embassy in Ankara, in a written statement Friday 28 July.
Brigadier Tiara Nissa Zulbida was ranked fifth as the best graduate and was the only best female foreign participant at the training. Being the best graduate, First Brigadier Tiara Nissa Zulbida was honored to deliver a speech in Turkish in front of President Erdogan and all the invited guests.
"This is the first time that a member of the Police has won the title of best graduate. This success is an achievement for the Police in Turkey," said Kombes Pol Harviadhi Agung Pratama, the Indonesian Police Attache in Ankara who was present at the graduation ceremony with the Indonesian Ambassador.
It is known, the capacity building training "The First Level Police Chief Training and the Non-Thesis Master Degree" lasts for 1.5 years and is equivalent to the Master's program.
