The Attorney General's Office (Kajagung) continues to search for assets in Surakarta belonging to Benny Tjokrosaputro, convicted of corruption in financial management and investment funds by PT Asuransi Jiwasraya and Asabri.

"The AGO recently handled a corruption case in financial management and investment funds by PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) and it turns out that the court's decision has been signed, convicts Heru Hidayat and Benny Tjokrosaputro in Jakarta," said the Director of Execution, Extraordinary Legal Efforts, and Examination at the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes at the AGO, Law Mugopal, during a press conference at the Surakarta Kejari Office, Thursday, July 27, confiscated by Antara.

Mugopal said that the convicts Heru Hidayat and Benny Tjokrosaputro were burdened with replacement money in the decision, namely for Heru Hidayat of Rp. 10 trillion and Benny Tjokrosaputro of Rp. 6 trillion.

This means that the convicts Heru Hidayat and Benny Tjokrosaputro are in debt to the state. Then, one way is to check assets belonging to Heru Hidayat and Benny Tjokrosaputro.

According to the Law, coincidentally in the Surakarta area based on the results of the search and mapping, there were assets belonging to the convict Benny Tjokrosaputro, namely in the Vastenburg Fort area of Solo and the Waterboom area in Sukoharjo Regency.

"We, on Thursday (July 27) morning, have confiscated the execution of Benny's assets. After that, an auction will be carried out in the future. Whatever the auction results will be put into the state treasury as a replacement money payment," he said.

He explained that if the assets had not reached the value of IDR 6 trillion for the convict Benny Tjokrosaputro, other assets would be searched for to reach the point of IDR 6 trillion.

"Benny's assets, if the auction is conducted, the value or limit price will be the auction. However, until now it has not been able to determine the price, it must be experts from the Ministry of Finance to calculate the availability of land assets," he said.

Benny's confiscated land assets will be auctioned based on the Tax Object Selling Value (NJOP) market. They do not yet know the price of the land market and NJOP.

The AGO team confiscated the execution, then handed over the AGO's asset recovery center for processing as soon as possible an auction was carried out. Then, this asset, as long as it is confiscated, is entrusted to local government officials or prosecutors so that they do not change their rights or are traded. Assets during the confiscation have become the land rights of the Prosecutor's Office.

The confiscated land assets in the Vastenburg Solo Fort area are seven plots or an area of about 43,216 square meters and the Sukoharjo area is 35 plots or an area of about 83,339 square meters.

Meanwhile, the AGO has executed assets belonging to the convict in the corruption case of financial management and investment funds by PT. Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) on behalf of the convict Benny Tjokrosaputra, several plots of land at Fort Vastenburg Solo, Central Java, Thursday.

According to observations in the Vastenburg Fort Solo area, it appears that there are at least six confiscation board points installed in the historic building area. Two boards from the Central Jakarta District Attorney's Office are installed on the north side of the Vastenburg Fort area, three boards on the east side and one board to the south.
