Vice President Ma'ruf Amin Asks All ASN To Be Neutral In The 2024 Election

JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin asked all young preja officials who graduated from the Institute of Home Affairs (IPDN), especially the XXX Year 2023 Force, to actively contribute to carrying out national strategic agendas, including maintaining neutrality for the success of the 2024 Simultaneous Elections.

"In the midst of the 2024 election stage process, I call on all ASN wherever they are to participate in maintaining a conducive atmosphere in their respective regions. As state servants, always maintain neutrality and integrity for the success and success of the 2024 General Election," said Ma'ruf Amin in his remarks when inaugurating 1,627 Young Civil Service Graduates from the IPDN XXX Force in 2023 at the Vice Presidential Palace, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, July 27.

By maintaining integrity and neutrality in the implementation of the 2024 General Election, the Vice President said that the praja leaders have good competence as ASN who will later carry out the running of the government wheels.

Thus, according to him, young praja leaders are expected to be the foundation of Indonesia's development in the future.

"Pampong praja muda is the foundation of regional and national development in the future. For this reason, continue to improve your expertise, competence, and self-capability as provisions for continuing leadership at various levels of bureaucracy," he explained.

Ma'ruf Amin also reminded the importance of the role of ASN in maintaining the integrity of the nation. This is because ASN is spread throughout Indonesia and is close to the community. ASN is also expected to transmit national understanding, both in the work environment and social life.

"Ladies and gentlemen are national-minded cadres who carry the mission of embedding the integrity of the nation. Responding to the challenges of digital globalization today, I ask young leaders to continue to promote moderation, tolerance, and social solidarity values across different barriers," he said.

Meanwhile, in terms of institutions, Ma'ruf Amin called on the ranks of IPDN to continue to be adaptive and innovative in conveying subject matter to praja leaders.

It aims so that every IPDN graduate can face all the challenges of the existing government without leaving behind his identity as an Indonesian nation.

"IPDN should continue to provide innovations in the design of young ASN education in the face of global changes, but remain rooted in the context of local wisdom. IPDN needs to strengthen collaboration networks with various stakeholders, especially collaboration in presenting young entrepreneurial ASN, thus contributing to the process of regional socio-economic transformation," said Ma'ruf Amin.

Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) John Wempi Wetipo, who was present at the inauguration ceremony, reported the statistics and processes that had been taken by young pre-service candidates while attending education at the IPDN Campus.

"Prospective young preja graduates who graduated from the Domestic Government Institute of the XXX class of 2023 amounted to 1,627 people from provinces, regencies and cities throughout Indonesia. Young preja candidates have carried out education at the Institute of Domestic Administration for four years and we graduated on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at the IPDN Jatinangor Campus, Sumedang Regency, West Java Province; and currently ready to be inaugurated by the Vice President to become a young pre-service," he said.

Also attending the inauguration ceremony were Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam) Mahfud MD, Main Secretary of the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) Imas Sukmariah, and IPDN Chancellor Hadi Prabowo.
