TERNATE - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry Ternate Branch, North Maluku, said the tariff for ferry ship routes for Ternate Port to Bitung, North Sulawesi, was up five percent from the previous tariff. The new tariff will take effect on August 3, 2023. "We have started to disseminate information to the public regarding the increase in transportation rates, so that people in this area can know," said General Manager of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry Ternate Branch, Justan Gaffaru when confirmed in Ternate, Antara, Tuesday, July 25. The increase in the tariff adjustment for ferry ships is based on the Decree of the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia Number KM 61 of 2023 concerning Tariffs for the Implementation of Cross Economic Class Crossing Transportation between provinces and Crossing between countries issued on July 4. Socialization regarding the increase in transportation tariff adjustments for provincial trajectories through mass media and information boards is installed in the port area, so that people can see directly when they are in the port "The overall increase is five percent of the previous tariff, and applies simultaneously to the track between provinces starting on August 3, 2023," he said. However, he said, for details, the transportation tariff could not be determined because it was still compiling the latest tariff adjustments. "This increase in transport rates applies to both passengers and vehicles, so we temporarily follow, to determine this latest tariff," said Justan. So far, the crossover ship between provinces to and from North Maluku has only been served by the Ternate Port route to Bitung, its voyage is opened every day with two ships that have been provided. Meanwhile, for the current Ternate-Bitung ticket price, the price for adults is IDR 124 thousand per person and children is IDR 83 thousand per person.

For motorcycle vehicles class I I IDR 350 thousand per unit, class II above 500 CC IDR 590 thousand per unit, sedans IDR 2.5 million, goods cars IDR 2.5 million, trucks IDR 5.1 million and trucks with a large amount of IDR 8.1 million.
