BENGKULU - President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana Jokowi have arrived in Bengkulu Province for a working visit on Wednesday 19 July 2023

The arrival of the head of state in the province nicknamed Bumi Raflesia was welcomed by the Governor of Bengkulu Rohidin Mersyah. "Welcome to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo and the First Lady of Indonesia, in Bengkulu, the land of Fatmawati Soekarno's birth, the Merah Putih (Bender)," said Rohidin in Bengkulu, Wednesday, July 19. President Jokowi and his entourage departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta. President Jokowi and his entourage took off at around 14.00 WIB. Jokowi accompanied President on a flight to Bengkulu Province, namely Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Presidential Military Secretary Laksda TNI Hersan, and Paspampres Commander Major General Rafael Granada Baay. Arriving at Fatmawati Soekarno Airport, Bengkulu City at around 15.15 WIB, President Jokowi was greeted by Bengkulu Governor Rohidin Mersyah and his wife, Pangdam II/Sriwijaya Major General TNI Hilman Hadi and his wife, and Bengkulu Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Armed Wijaya and his wife.

From the airport, President Jokowi headed to the hotel where he spent the night in Bengkulu City and continued the agenda for a working visit tomorrow. The President is scheduled to inaugurate the Bengkulu-Taba Tanjung Toll Road. President Jokowi is planned to make a working visit for 3 days in Bengkulu, Wednesday to Friday, July 19-21, 2023. The President plans to check the condition of infrastructure, especially roads in Bengkulu Province, the development of the Bumi Raflesia economy and also about health, stunting. Initially, the president is planned to visit all regencies and cities in Bengkulu Province. However, the president's latest plan will visit Bengkulu City, Central Bengkulu Regency, North Bengkulu, Kepahiang, and Seluma.
