Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin admitted that he was preparing the rules to take firm action against the perpetrators of bullying at the resident doctor at the hospital.

"Regarding bullying, I will take firm action, because it has ( HAPPENED for) decades, it is the same as the availability of specialist doctors," said the Minister of Health after holding a press conference with RSCM in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Friday, July 14.

Minister of Health Budi stated that cases of bullying were often found for decades to young doctors in various hospitals. His party in the field found bullying was closely related to the difficulty of young doctors getting recommendation letters to pursue higher quality education.

Another case of bullying found in young doctors who take part in the Specialist Doctors Education Program (PPDS), where they have to spend money in a nominal that touches tens of millions just to pay the needs of seniors who are very personal and inappropriate to do.

"This has been happening in our educational hospitals for decades and there has never been the courage or firmness to prohibit it. So I will soon issue the rules and it is prohibited," said the Minister of Health.

According to him, bullying continues to be embedded in the health education unit because young doctors do not dare to report themselves or case findings, which are considered to be able to complicate their graduation.

Another thing that is feared is that there will be bullying that will become more and more intense by seniors if they are caught reporting to related parties.

Thus the Minister of Health hopes that the rules that will soon be issued - without mentioning the time - can provide protection to all doctors without exception and can remove bullying in health education and create a comfortable learning and work environment for health workers.

"For seniors or teachers who bully, we will take firm action, that way we will provide sufficient protection for our medical students. So I will firmly say that in educational hospitals such as RSCM, if someone does that, we will brush it," said Budi.
