Immigration Kemenkumham Babel Deportation 12 Foreigners During 2024

PANKALPINANG - Immigration Regional Office of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights has deported 12 foreign nationals (WNA) for violating immigration regulations from January to December 2024.

"This year, one foreigner from Nigeria has been transferred to the Pangkalpinang Kejari," said Head of the Immigration Division of the Babel Islands Kemenkumham Regional Office Doni Alfisyahrin in Pangkalpinang, Saturday.

He stated that during the period January to December 2024, as many as 12 foreigners had been deported for violating immigration regulations. Foreigners who were deported from the working area of Kanim Pangkalpinang as many as 7 foreigners and from the Tanjungpandan Kanim working area as many as 5 foreigners.

"We will take firm action against foreigners who violate statutory regulations in Indonesia, both criminal acts and immigration administrative actions to safeguard the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia," he said.

He stated that in supervising the presence of foreigners, Immigration Babel also routinely conducts regular Foreigner Supervision Team (Timpora) meetings and carries out intelligence, independent operations as well as joint operations both at the provincial and city levels.

Timpora consists of cross-institutions in charge of supervising the presence of foreigners, such as from the TNI, Polri, Manpower Service and other relevant stakeholders.

"Timpora has carried out its supervisory function for the activities and presence of foreigners in the Bangka Belitung area, this is so that foreigners and foreign labor user companies do not violate the immigration regulations that apply in Indonesia," he said.

Head of the Class I Immigration Office TPI Pangkalpinang Alimuddin said the challenge of Timpora's duties in Pangkalpinang City in the future is not getting lighter, so it needs to be done synergically and together to get maximum results and benefits.

"Especially in creating security and order, as well as ensuring that every foreigner carrying those who are and active can provide benefits, especially for Pangkalpinang City," he said.
