JAMBI - Jambi Regional Police (Polda) arrested three suspects in the Trafficking in Persons (TPPO) case who traded the victims as commercial sex workers (PSK).

The Head of Public Relations of the Jambi Police, Kombes Mulia Prianto, said that the three suspects arrested were from three TIP cases in Jambi.

"Disclosure of this case, obtained from different areas, namely in Sarolangun Regency, Tebo Regency and Bungo Regency," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, July 7.

Mulia said that the modus operandi of the perpetrators was the same and similar, namely by recruiting women and giving payments to become blind women.

"All suspects were arrested by the police because they were caught committing TIP by selling women to become blind women and sexually exploit them," he said.

In this arrest, the Jambi Police cooperated with the Sarolangun Police Satreskrim, Tebo Police and Bungo Police to immediately search for several pimps who had been reported by the public.

During the raid by the police, it was found that the victims were in the room with men who had ordered through pimps. The perpetrators were immediately interrogated and information was obtained where they got the offer.

It is known that the woman has been sold to an unknown man to commit sexual acts in return, from Rp. 500 thousand to millions of rupiah through a conversation application.

The three suspects who have been arrested and detained are RC (25) residents of Pelapat Ilir, Bungo, EF (49) residents of Aur Gading, Sarolangun and SV residents of Tebo.

The victims were still very young, aged a dozen years, the police regretted that there was still rampant trafficking in people, especially since the victims, especially women, were used as prostitutes.
