HMS Takes To The Streets To Make The Community Aware Of How Dangerous The BLBI Gate Is

JAKARTA - The difficulty of unraveling the tangled thread of the mega scandal of financial corruption in the state, Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance (BLBI), as the biggest corruption case since Indonesia's independence, has made the Movement to Enliven the Prosperous Society (HMS) take to the streets to voice the truth.

Through the music group The HMS Band, the band, which is fronted by Hardjuno Wiwoho, Bona Paputungan and Digo Dz, continues to fight corruption, which is a major enemy of all Indonesian people. According to him, music is an effective means of campaign to make the public aware of the dangers of BLBI Gate.

"The HMS Center continues to disseminate information regarding the BLBI problem to the younger generation so that they are aware of the dangers of this mounting debt snare," said Hardjuno, who is also the General Chair of the HMS Center on the sidelines of the Pentas Live Music Car Free Day event in Jakarta, Sunday, July 2.

For this reason, Hardjuno again invited all Indonesian people to fight the crimes of these obligors. Don't let those who steal state money sleep well.

"They are already rich. Therefore, complete investigation, imprison and poor them," he explained.

Hardjuno sees that corruption in Indonesia is very severe. This corrupt behavior has been rampant and has damaged the joints of the life of the nation and state.

For this reason, Hardjuno again called on all Indonesian people to rise up and stand up against this corrupt behavior.

"Don't let us ignore it. Corruption is an acute disease that can undermine all aspects of life," he explained.

Through one of the mainstay hits of BLBI Gate', Hardjuno again urged the government to resolve the BLBI Gate, which is the biggest financial corruption scandal in Indonesia. The reason is, the BLBI Gate is a source of disaster for Indonesia's current state finances.

"We will not stop fighting corruption in Indonesia so that corruption disappears from this country. Indeed, this is not as easy as turning the palm of the hand. But the commitment to fight against corruptors must continue to light up," he said.

The lyrics of the song BLBI Gate are social criticism of the rampant corruption in Indonesia which is starting to disturb the public.

"Therefore, we hope that the lyrics of this song will raise the spirit of society against corruption," he said.

The hope, he continued, was that the government was moved so that it made pro-people policies. So far, many government policies seem to oppress the people and pros and big businessmen.

"Through song lyrics, we want to fight the government's Raholiman for its people," he explained.

HMS Center said Hardjuno reminded the public to care about the legacy of the eternal debt that ensnared the Indonesian nation. Moreover, this debt is paid from tax money deposited by people from all over Indonesia.

"And in the future, this eternal debt will be paid by our children and grandchildren who become the owner of this country at the wheel of the day. So, if we are not wary of it, it is not impossible to pose a serious threat to the future of our nation and state," he said.

The founder of The HMS Band, Sasmito Hadinegoro said this artwork is a form of struggle to defend the people and to educate and educate the public.

"Hopefully this legacy will be able to generate the younger generation to participate in fighting oppression and corruption, thereby freeing the country from the snares of eternal debt. The future of this nation will be difficult if there is no total correction to the BLBI Gate and Century Gate as well as the State Financial Governance policy which should be suspected of violating the mandate of Law No. 17 of 2003 which must be Transparent and Accountable, "he said.
