JAKARTA - Governor Ganjar Pranowo continues to improve the quality of public health services in Central Java. This was proven by 51 Regional General Hospitals (RSUD) and 71 Public Health Centers (Puskesmas) from 2013-2022.

Referring to data from the Regional Development Administration Bureau of the Central Java Regional Secretariat, for nine years, Ganjar has disbursed a budget of Rp988 billion which is channeled through the Regency/City Financial Assistance (Bankeu) scheme with details of Rp331.75 billion to build 54 hospitals, Rp161 billion for the construction of 71 Puskesmas, and Rp581.24 billion for the procurement of medical devices.

Furthermore, Ganjar said that his party continues to be committed to providing optimal service to the community, one of which is by building health centers in areas that do not yet have a health service center.

"This is part of the important (government) concern. If the nation is a resident of illness, it can't. So there must be good service, good service, good human resources," said Ganjar.

On that occasion, Ganjar also conveyed to all health workers (nakes) and health cadres who work at hospitals and health centers to provide the best health services for the community.

According to the former member of the DPR RI, the public has the right to receive health services from the government to realize the welfare and equality of government services to all levels of society.

"So you can't refuse patients, if it can't be referred immediately. If it can't be reported immediately, then it's the government's job to serve," Ganjar appealed.

Not only building hospitals and health centers, Ganjar pays special attention to the quality of buildings. In addition, puskesmas services are required to reach the lower class community to become preventive and promotive health facilities for disease prevention.

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted that in 2022 in Central Java there were 57 hospitals spread across 35 districts/cities with a total capacity of 14,770 beds.
