KUPANG - The Kupang Regency Government of East Nusa Tenggara Province released 2,100 plots of land through the redistribution of land for cultivation rights (HGU) for the people of the former Timor-East (Timur) and 92.6 hectares for local residents in the area who do not yet have land.
"This land redistribution activity goes through various stages, starting with counseling activities, then it will be followed by an inventory of subjects and objects, measuring and mapping, then the trial of the 'land reform' consideration committee and the determination of the decree (SK) on the affirmation of the subject from the regent and decree on the affirmation of the object of the Kakanwil Distribution of the National Land Agency (BPN) in accordance with applicable laws and regulations," said Kupang Regent Korinus Masneno in Kupang, Antara, Wednesday, June 21.
He said this was related to the land redistribution rights certificate (SHAT) carried out by the government for ex-Timm residents.
The land area carried out by the redistribution is 2,100 plots as a location for the construction of houses for residents of the former Timtim, and local residents covering an area of approximately 92.6 hectares in Camplong 2 Village, Kuimasi Village, Tonnako Village and Oebola Dalam Village, Fatuleu District.
"This year's land redistribution injection was determined through the Kupang Regent's Decree which stipulates that the heads of families who receive housing assistance are livable for residents of former Timtim and local residents at the location of former HGU Number 1/Kupang on behalf of PT.Royal Timor Ostrindo in Kupang Regency which has been verified by the verification working group together with the East Timor Fighter Communication Forum," he said.
According to him, land redistribution is a manifestation of the government's work and responsibility in providing legalization of assets for the community.
The Regent also requested that residents who receive land redistribution do not neglect land and transfer the function of land rights to other parties.
"We hope that the land that has been given by the government will not be transferred to other parties. The existing land must become an asset for the family," said Korinus Regent Masneno.
