Avanza Rider Who Hit His Neighbor To Death At Cakung Toll Gate Threatened With 6 Years In Prison

JAKARTA Head of Laka Satlantas East Jakarta Iptu Darwis Yunarta explained that the perpetrator of the hit-and-run at the Cakung-Kelapa Gading toll gate, East Jakarta, which caused one person to die, is still under investigation by investigators. The police are still investigating the motive of the perpetrator. Meanwhile, evidence in the form of a silver Toyota Avanza car has been secured.

It is known that OS surrendered to the East Jakarta Traffic Unit (Satwil), after being urged by his family after the incident.

According to the perpetrator's confession, Darwis continued, the incident began when OS was taking his mother to work in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta. Meanwhile, the victim, Moses Bagus Prakoso (34) is also on his way to Pulogadung.

About 500 meters before the accident site, OS and Moses got into an argument because they had a chance to touch while driving.

"The perpetrator and the victim stopped in front of the Cakung Police, and the victim kicked the car rearview mirror until it broke," he explained.

Not accepting this attitude, OS immediately followed Moses' vehicle from behind, and then the accident occurred.

"The perpetrator was chased by the perpetrator, until the front entrance to the Cakung-Kelapa Gading Toll Road, then the victim was hit from behind and fell, and was run over," said Darwis.

The perpetrator felt guilty and was scolded by his mother so that he decided to surrender.

"But after this incident he returned to the crime scene on a motorbike to check. He wanted to surrender himself to the Cakung Police, but was afraid that things like that, finally at the push of his mother, this OS brother was willing to be cooperative, we could catch him," he explained.

Previously, a fatal accident involving a Honda PCX motorcycle and a Toyota Avanza car occurred at the entrance to the Cakung - Kelapa Gading toll road, East Jakarta, Wednesday morning at around 08.42 WIB.

The Head of Traffic for the Cakung Police, AKP Eko Aprihanto, explained that the incident resulted in the death of a victim named Moses Bagus Prakoso, after being run over by a car.

"There has been an accident at the entrance to the Cakung-Kelapa Gading Toll Road between the Honda PCX motorbike number B 5595 KCH with a silver Avanza B 2926 KFI, and the victim died, after being given the first treatment for two hours by the medical team at Mitra Kelapa Gading Hospital," said Eko when met in Jakarta, Wednesday.
