9-year-old Boy 5 Times Raped By Elderly, Parents Have Reported Police But Perpetrators Are Still Relaxing At Home

JAKARTA - Farida (32) complained that the handling of the sexual abuse case that happened to her little daughter with the initials NHR (9) did not work after making an official report with the number LP/B/621/III/2023/SPKT/EAST JAKARTA METRO POLICE/POLDA METRO JAYA on March 7. Until now, the perpetrators have not been arrested by the police.

"What I am confused about is that the perpetrator was not immediately arrested. When I reported it to the police, why wasn't he immediately arrested, there were already victims and witnesses. There were also many witnesses who heard UH's testimony at the RT house," said Farida, the victim's mother, to reporters, Wednesday, June 14.

According to Farida's confession, since the report was made, the police have called the victim, the witness and even himself for questioning. Meanwhile, the perpetrator with the initials S alias UH (65) has only been summoned once since April, then.

"The perpetrator also had time to relax at home (since it was reported). Only now, I heard that he had moved his family. No one knows which area," he said.

The incident was revealed after the victim NHR complained that her genitals hurt when she urinated.

NHR was raped by an elderly man with the initials S alias UH from 2021 to 2022 in the Lubang Buaya area, Cipayung, East Jakarta. The incident only came to light after the victim complained of pain in his genitals.

"Children often sit while pressing their genitals. If they urinate, they say they hurt. I ask why, he says, knock on a bicycle. I also check, on the blue bruises of the groin. I treat it, take it to the puskesmas," he said.

However, in March 2023, everything was revealed. NHR turned out to have been raped by a grandfather with the initials S alias UH 5 times. The perpetrator first did it at his own house and was done in the warehouse in front of his house. Farida only found out after receiving a call from the family on March 7, 2023. They told NHR what had happened to NHR, and ordered Farida to immediately go to his mother's house in Lubang Buaya.

Incidentally, NHR does not live with Farida in Pinang Ranti. He chose to stay with his grandmother to get closer to school.

There, Farida was told that NHR had been a victim of rape by UH five times. The last rape occurred in December 2022.
