Polda Metro Jaya arrested four suspects in fraudulent sales of Coldplay concert tickets in the Sidrap Regency, South Sulawesi. They used the Instagram account @jastipicetcoldplay to launch their action.

"The modus operandi of these perpetrators is to create a Jastipticketcoldplay Instagram account," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Auliansyah Lubis, to reporters, Monday, June 5.

The four suspects had the initials MS (22), MHH (20), AB (36), and A (35). They play a role in creating Instagram accounts to accounts to accommodate the proceeds of crimes.

"Brother MS created the Instagram account with the name of the Jastiptiketcoldplay Instagram account. Then brother MHH as the provider of Dana accounts with funds number 082193692995 on behalf of Rahma, which was used to accommodate money from criminal acts of fraud," he said.

"Meanwhile, Adi, it also created an e wallet account with a Dana account with number 081356651187 on behalf of Adi," continued Auliansyah.

The fraud carried out by the suspects began when the victim with the initials ID contacted the perpetrator via direct message on May 13. He questioned the availability of concert tickets.

However, at that time the victim did not get a ticket on the grounds that the concert ticket slot had run out.

"Then on the 19th, the victim asked again (the) Coldplay music concert via DM as well as Instagram and they said that there were two more tickets for the music concert available," he said.

The suspect then directed the victim to send money electronically to the perpetrator's Fund account. The victim also agreed and followed all orders of the suspect.

"However, the victim did not get the ticket and proof of payment was never sent via Instagram or via the victim's email to the victim. Finally, the victim reported this fraud to the Polda Metro Jaya," said Auliansyah.
