The N3T Community In Jayapura Needs Telecommunication Access

PAPUA - The Jayapura Regency Communication and Information Office, Papua, said that people in non-disadvantaged, Outermost and Behind (N3T) villages in the area needed telecommunication access. Head of the Jayapura Kominfo Service Gustaf Griapon said his party had met with the community in Sebum Village, Kaureh District to discuss the construction of a telecommunications network in the area. The community strongly responded well to the plan to build a telecommunication network in the form of a BTS tower in Sebum Village. According to Gustav, from the results of a meeting with village officials, traditional leaders and the entire community have found one understanding that people need adequate telecommunications networks. "In today's era of technology and information disclosure, telecommunications networks are a necessity for people living in the N3T area," he said in Sentani, Antara, Sunday, June 4. Meanwhile, the Head of Kampung Sebum Yonatan Tongko explained that his party appreciated the Kominfo Service regarding the construction of the BTS Bakti Kominfo Tower and was ready to cooperate in holding digital literacy training. "We really appreciate the efforts of Kominfo Jayapura Regency and its partners in presenting BTS as a telecommunications service support facility in our village," he said. He added that BTS (Base Transceiver Station) and good telecommunications services, as well as adequate internet networks, provide a solid foundation for carrying out digital literacy activities in the village.

"Adequate access to information and communication technology allows people to take advantage of learning opportunities and growth in the digital world," he said again.
