Fake Police Like Debt Collector Rampas Force Citizens' Vehicles In South Kalimantan Arrested

KALSEL - South Kalimantan Police (Kalsel) arrested a gang of extortionists claiming to be Buser's team, aka fake police, to scare their victims.

"This gang claims to be a member of Buser with the name Team Kumba," said South Kalimantan Police Criminal Investigation Director Kombes Pol. Hendri Budiman in Banjarmasin, Sunday, June 4, was confiscated by Antara.

This group of criminals was hunted by the police after one of the victims of SF (30) extortion reported to the Liang Anggang Police, the ranks of the Banjarbaru Police.

SF admitted that a group of people had recently been discovered by fake police visiting his residence in the Ulin Land area, Banjarbaru on Sunday, May 21.

They claimed to be the owners of the car from the vehicle previously pawned by the victim.

Because the victim was under threat of being convicted to physical violence and was handcuffed, the victim finally handed over tens of millions of money to the perpetrator.

Receiving the victim's report on Friday, June 2, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Liang Anggang Police was backed up by the Special Team of the Ditreskrimum of the South Kalimantan Police and carried out an investigation to pursue the perpetrators.

As a result, four people were arrested in separate locations in Banjarbaru City and Banjar Regency, namely MA (43), ES (33), HD (35) and MW (33).

From the suspect's hands, two iron handcuffs were confiscated which were often used when in action and two cars as a means including a car that became a pawning object.

Hendri said there were still three other perpetrators in pursuit with identities that had been pocketed by officers.

"We urge you to immediately surrender properly rather than take decisive action if my members are caught in the field," said Hendri.

From the results of the temporary confession of the suspects who have been arrested, they have carried out similar actions several times.

One of them was a victim of a woman in Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency whose motorbike was forcibly confiscated by fake police like a debt collector and Rp30 million in cash was taken.
