245 Members Of The West Java Regional Police Escort The KCJB Trial, Residents Around The Line Asked Not To Play Kites And Drones

West Java (Jabar) Regional Police (Polda) asked the public not to fly kites and drones around the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Train (KCJB). KCJB is currently in the testing phase.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Police Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo, said that the KCJB has been electrified and is being tested to avoid disturbing objects.

"Socialization related to KCJB is given to the community around the route that is crossed by the high-speed train to participate in maintaining the facilities and infrastructure of one of the national strategic projects," he said in Bandung, Tuesday, May 30, which was confiscated by Antara.

In order to oversee the KCJB trial, the West Java Regional Police deployed 245 personnel, consisting of 53 Bandung Polrestabes personnel, 40 Bandung Police personnel, 39 Cimahi Police personnel, 60 Purwakarta Police personnel, and 53 Karawang Police personnel.

The personnel were deployed to ensure security at vulnerable points in minimizing and eliminating train accidents. There are at least 63 points prone to disturbances to order and security on the KCJB line.

In addition, according to Ibrahim, the personnel were also deployed to anticipate criminal acts, such as theft. Even though it is only small theft, such as bolts, cables or copper, it can have a big impact and endanger the journey of the high-speed train.

"Members on duty also installed banners, distributed leaflets, and posters not to commit a criminal act of theft of KCJB assets, KCJB sabotage because they would be criminally charged," he said.

Previously, PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) stated that the rate in testing the Jakarta Bandung Fast Train (KCJB) was increased gradually.

Starting Monday 22 May, the implementation of testing and commissioning or KCJB trials will increase the speed of travel. By using a comprehensive inspection train or inspection train, the speed is increased from the previous average of 60 km/hour to 180 km/hour.
