JAKARTA - A prospective hajj candidate from Demak, Central Java died at around 03.30, Thursday (25/5), Saudi Arabia time.

A congregation named Suprapto (52), joined the SOC 003 group, a group of eight teams.

Suprapto is from Kalisari Village, Sayung District, Demak Regency, and only arrived in Medina on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

"Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un... yes yesterday he arrived (at the Abraj Taba Hotel, ed.) this afternoon he died earlier this morning at 03.30 due to a heart attack," said Head of Madinah Working Area Zaenal Muttaqin in Medina quoted by ANTARA.

Soejantini, his wife, said that the deceased had previously prayed and went to the bathroom.
