Ridwan Kamil: 20 Tourism Points In West Java Have Been Improved

West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil said that during the nearly three years of the COVID-19 pandemic, many tourist attractions had been repaired, recorded more than 20 tourism points that had been repaired. Among them are Situ Gede in Tasikmalaya Regency, Sayang Heulang and Situ Bagendit in Garut Regency. "So that this year when the COVID-19 is over, people will have many choices to travel in places that used to be only one point," said Governor Ridwan Kamil in his statement in Bandung, Antara, Thursday, May 11. Tourist attractions in the 2023 Lebaran homecoming are increasingly varied, so travelers have many alternatives to spend vacation time with their families. Variations of tourist objects make people's concentration not only at one point but scattered, so that congestion decays by itself. Governor Ridwan Kamil, said West Java tourism at this year's Eid homecoming was not widely colored by negative viral news. This indicates that tourism revitalization in West Java is successful. "Monitoring tourism is also very crowded but under control. There are not many negative viralities during tourism," said Ridwan Kamil. The governor hopes that by improving or revitalizing tourism places, this can be a reinforcement for the local government as a region that focuses on the tourism economy. The governor is optimistic that the new face of the repaired tourism place such as Situ Gede, Tasikmalaya in Mangkubumi District will increase local revenue (PAD) and the community's economy considering its location in the middle of the city. "Situ Gede will become a tourist destination that provides income and economic progress for Tasikmalaya and the community," said Governor Ridwan Kamil.

Situ Gede's arrangement and revitalization aim to conservation, maintain natural and ecological ecosystems, and improve the image of the region.
