The joint SAR team finally found a toddler girl who was swept away by the ditch in Dadok Tunggul Hitam Village, Padang, West Sumatra (West Sumatra), on Saturday night May 6. "Today the joint SAR team searched for the victim, at around 13.00 WIB, we finally found the victim's body dead," said Head of Basarnas Padang Abdul Malik, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, May 7. The body of the victim named Zalina was found to be greeted by the sobs of the parents and the victim's family, leaving deep sorrow. Abdul Malik said the victim named Zulina was found about one kilometer from the first point he was reported missing. This is because the ditch water discharge was moderately high due to high rainfall in the local area at the time of the incident. After being found, said Abdul Malik, the victim's body was immediately evacuated and taken to the funeral home which is located on Jalan Hercules, Dadok Tunggul Hitam Village, the local city. "After the victim was found, the search and rescue operation (SAR) that has been carried out since Saturday night was officially closed," he said.

Efforts to search for victims involve joint personnel from various agencies ranging from Basarnas, Padang BPBD, Koto Tangah Sector Police, PMI, and local communities. In other parts, Basarnas Padang appealed to the public to remain careful in their activities considering the high rainfall in Padang City in the last few days
