JAKARTA - Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, poked fun at the ranks of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government during a coffee morning event attended by the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi, and the DKI Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) today.

Prasetyo reviewed that the members of the council have three functions, namely forming regional regulations, drafting budgets, and supervising the running of local governments. Prasetyo asked Heru Budi's men to appreciate this.

"Here, Mr. Governor, I poke a little bit at the Governor's subordinates that I have a function. Please appreciate the three functions," said Prasetyo at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Wednesday, May 3.

Prasetyo also asked the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government to appreciate the members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD more about the input or recommendations they get from public complaints.

"The Acting Governor has nine factions in the DPRD, not having executives. So, I hope DPRD friends can be served, who have interests with the community," he explained.

In this event, Prasetyo hopes that the executive and legislature can conduct discussions or coordination to accommodate the aspirations of the people of DKI Jakarta.

"Both parties must work together to solve various problems faced by Jakarta residents such as flood problems, traffic jam problems, and poor air quality and improve the quality of life for DKI Jakarta residents," said Prasetyo.

After the event, Prasetyo opened his voice about his sentiles targeting Heru Budi's subordinates. He revealed, in recent times, the conduciveness within one scope of the government has been less than optimal. The reason is that there are certain barriers between groups.

"You have to work well together. Don't make fun of it, divide it. In the end, you can't carry out your functions," he added.
