Prabowo Shouted 'President' While Visiting Padang

JAKARTA - Prabowo Subianto's supporters shouted at the "president" when the Indonesian Minister of Defense (Menhan) arrived at Minangkabau International Airport (BIM) Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra.

"Thank you, thank you," said Prabowo Subianto every time he greeted the community who welcomed him at BIM Padang Pariaman Regency, quoted from Antara, Saturday, April 29.

Prabowo Subianto and his entourage landed at BIM at around 09.30 WIB. The arrival of the former 22nd Kostrad Commander was greeted with shouts of "Presidential Prabowo" by his supporters.

Arriving at BIM, Prabowo immediately greeted his supporters at the domestic arrival terminal. Prabowo also greeted the crowding community in the arrival area.

Outside the airport, Prabowo supporters are also waiting to accompany Prabowo's entourage who left for Sutan Sjahrir Padang Airfield (Lanud).

Initially, the General Chairperson of Gerindra was scheduled to take the road to Tanah Datar Regency to attend the inauguration of the traditional title of Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor. However, it is known that he left for Istano Basa Pagaruyung by helicopter.

In line with that, the chairman of the West Sumatra Gerindra Party DPD Andre Rosiade who directly announced the arrival of Prabowo to West Sumatra said that Prabowo's arrival was positively welcomed by the people in Minang.

"Alhamdulillah, the people of West Sumatra are so enthusiastic about welcoming Pak Prabowo to West Sumatra," he said.

Throughout the trip from BIM to Sutan Sjahrir Air Base, Padang, the public seemed to welcome and wave to Soemitro Djojohadikoesoemo's son.
