Police Immediately Determine The Role Of Suspects In The Bor Well Corruption Case In North Lombok

In order to explore the role of the suspect, the North Lombok Resort Police (Polres), West Nusa Tenggara, has scheduled a corruption case title for a solar-powered drilling well construction project in the near future.

North Lombok Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police (AKBP) I Wayan Sudarmanta said that the title of the case was to determine the role of the suspect.

"Because the evidence is complete. So, we just need to hold a case to determine who will be responsible for the state losses in this case," said AKBP Sudarmanta, quoted by ANTARA, April 14.

The police chief reminded again that the state losses of this case amounted to Rp455 million. This figure appears based on the calculated results of the audit team of the NTB Representative Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).

"The state losses that arise in this case are considered total loss," he said.

The conclusion of total loss, he said, emerged from the distribution and specifications of tools that were not in accordance with the planning so that they were stalled.

"For more details, later it will be an expert (BPKP NTB) who will explain at the trial," he said.

Sudarmanta assured that this investigation step led to criminal charges of Article 2 paragraph (1) and/or Article 3 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001.

Furthermore, he assured that the case that has been handled since 2017 is now the attention of the settlement of the North Lombok Police case.

The case that entered the North Lombok Police came from a community group. The project, which is suspected to have stalled, is at three different points. The location is in Pemenang and Tanjung Districts. The project cost the 2016 APBD.
